Houston Dynamo forward Lyle Foster, 26, was named to South Africa’s 27-man national team squad for the November 2026 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying matches against Kenya.
South Africa hosts Kenya at Orlando Amstel Arena on November 13 and plays the return fixture four days later.

Foster was left out of head coach Pitso Mosimane’s preliminary squad for his first three matches — victories over Guinea, Eritrea and Egypt — after struggling with inconsistent form and mental health concerns and reportedly lacking full fitness. He is now back in the final roster.
AEL Limassol winger Luther Singh is also in the squad. Foster and Singh are related: Singh is the first cousin of Foster’s father.
Goalkeeper-captain Ronwen Williams and midfielder Teboho Mokoena were selected despite recent injury setbacks at Mamelodi Sundowns. Right-back Khuliso Mudau did not recover in time. Thabang Matuludi and Thapelo Morena are the right-backs named. Orlando Pirates defender Kamogelo Sebelebele is injured and absent.
Centre-back Mbekezeli Mbokazi returns from injury. Ime Okon (Hannover 96), Olwethu Makhanya (Rangers), and Lebone Seema (Orlando Pirates) are the other centre-backs selected. Nkosinathi Sibisi (Orlando Pirates) was not included.
Foster is on loan to Houston Dynamo FC from Burnley.
