It was announced today on X that Austin FC would be moving on from both manager Nico Estévez and sporting director Rodolfo Borrell.

Estévez is the second MLS manager in as many days to be removed for their duties, with the Columbus Crew announcing on Sunday that Henrik Rydström had been removed.

This move is coming off of a 2-1 loss at the hands of Sporting KC on Saturday, who currently sit at the bottom of the Western Conference.

Estévez joined the team ahead the 2025 season, through his tenure with Austin he posted 16 W/13 D/19 L.

Estévez managed to lead Austin FC to the U.S. Open Cup final last season, as well as a playoff appearance.

According to an official statement by the club, an interim manager has been assigned.

“Davy Arnaud has been appointed Interim Head Coach ahead of the Club’s next match against St. Louis CITY SC on May 23,” said a representative for the club.

Their next match against St. Louis CITY SC will be their final match before the international break. The game will take place in St. Louis at 2:45 p.m. Eastern Standard Time at Energizer Park.
