The unthinkable has happened. Luka Doncic has been nominated for best defender in the EuroBasket tournament.

Doncic has never been known to be a good defender thus far in his NBA career. In fact, that’s the one area of his game that the critics often slam him for.

In the 2025 EuroBasket tournament, Doncic has been doing it all for Slovenia. If Slovenia wins the tournament, Doncic will be the reason why.

Now, with his increased defensive skills, Lakers fans are extra excited for the upcoming 2025-26 NBA season.
