Luka Doncic avoids suspension as NBA rescinds 16th technical foul

The NBA released a statement on Sunday revealing that it has rescinded the technical fouls that were dealt to L.A. Lakers guard Luka Doncic and Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze on Saturday.

Doncic will now avoid a one-game suspension that he would have served if the technical foul was upheld, as it would have been his 16th of the season.

The techs were called late in the third quarter after the two got into an argument as Doncic was shooting a free throw.

While Doncic and Bitadze each gave differing accounts of the interaction, the Lakers ultimately appealed the technical foul.

They went on to win the game and secure their ninth straight victory.
