Yaxel Lendeborg and the Michigan Wolverines picked up yet another impressive win on Friday, they punched their ticket to the Elite 8 with a 90-77 victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.
Shortly after picking up the win, Lendeborg suggested in an interview that the current Wolverines may be the best Michigan team of all time.

“I feel like we’re the best team in college basketball. We might be the best Michigan team ever,” Lendeborg said. “We’re going to try to go for that.”
The comment immediately sparked debate from fans and former players alike. Former Wolverine Jalen Rose disagrees with the comment.
“You want to have that conversation? Go cut down the nets,” Rose said. “If they go and win it all, of course it’s time to have that conversation. ’89 versus this team.”
Lendeborg’s confident statement was in the wake of an impressive outing against Alabama. He finished the game with 23 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists.
If the Wolverines continue their strong play and advance to the Final Four, this newfound debate is likely to heat up.
