The Charlotte Hornets led by 14 points in the second quarter of last night’s game vs. the Portland Trail Blazers. Would this, along with LaMelo Ball’s 27 points, be enough to secure a Hornets victory?

LaMelo Ball scores 27 in the loss to Portland

The answer is, unfortunately, no. LaMelo Ball’s 27 points aren’t enough to beat the Trail Blazers. Charlotte could not hold on to their 14-point lead as they lost 124-113 to Portland.

The Hornets are now 9-25 on the season, and they may as well throw this year away and focus on getting a high draft pick. Maybe even Victor Wembanyama.
