Lakers’ JJ Redick praises the ‘insane’ play of LeBron James

LeBron James hyping up the crowd during their game against the Kings

Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James is 39 years old and still shows no signs of slowing down. He had a dominant performance against the Sacramento Kings on Saturday and finished with 32 points, 14 rebounds and 10 assists to lead the Lakers to the 131-127 win.

James scored 16 of his points in a four-minute stretch of the fourth quarter, which are the most points he’s scored in that short of a span during his tenure with the Lakers.

“We’ve all been very fortunate to watch his greatness for so long,” Lakers head coach JJ Redick said. “And the fact that he’s able to keep doing it, it’s just, it’s actually insane. It’s actually insane.”

While James’ late game heroics were incredible, he emphasized that he won’t need to do that every night.

“This team is not built for me to have 16-point quarters through all four quarters,” James said. “That’s not how it’s constructed and nor should it be. We’re a team and we all play together.”

The Lakers (3-0) are off to their best start since 2010 and it’s largely due to the sheer dominance of James and Anthony Davis.
