Cal guard Justin Pippen, son of NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, has committed to the Ohio State Buckeyes for his junior season.
Pippen is coming off of a strong season for the Golden Bears in which he averaged 14.2 points, 3.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. He was Cal’s second-highest leading scorer and led the team in assists while reaching the second round of the NIT.
With players like Bruce Thornton and Devin Royal departing, Pippen will likely be asked to play a major role for the Buckeyes.
In his freshman season, he appeared in 28 games for the Michigan Wolverines before transferring to Cal. He’ll now be playing for the Wolverines’ biggest rivals.
