Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs' attorneys called newly released police records "unsupported and stale" in a statement issued Sunday, November 1, 2026.
Jacobs pleaded no contest in September to two misdemeanor charges — battery and damage to property. He was convicted of battery and fined $1,000. He received a deferred judgment on the property damage charge. Jacobs spent the first six weeks of the 2026 season on the NFL commissioner's exempt list and returned to play in Week 7. The league confirmed its investigation into possible personal conduct policy violations remains open, and his six weeks on the exempt list count toward any future suspension.

The Hobart/Lawrence Police Department released 129 pages of records tied to Jacobs' May arrest. Those documents summarize telephone interviews with three women describing alleged incidents from April 2021 and 2022. Jacobs' attorneys — David Z. Chesnoff, Richard A. Schonfeld, and Clarence F. Duchac III — said the file contains only those interviews and no investigative follow-up. Jacobs denies all three accounts and says he possesses tangible evidence supporting his version of events.
One woman previously filed a claim with the NFL, which reviewed it and took no action. Jacobs' attorneys noted the released file does not reference that review or any evidence he submitted to the league. Another woman made an allegation in 2021 after Jacobs called Las Vegas police to report her misconduct; a police report was filed that day and no further action occurred. The third woman visited Jacobs in Las Vegas, stayed overnight, and left the next evening in a ride she ordered herself — a receipt for which appears in the released file and aligns with Jacobs' version of events.
Jacobs' attorneys said he responded in detail due to reputational harm threatening his career. The NFL confirmed Saturday it will review the new allegations.
Since returning in Week 7, Jacobs has played two games. He has 32 carries for 75 yards and one rushing touchdown, plus 11 receptions for 68 yards and two receiving touchdowns.
