The Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen fallout has been in the news ever since The Last Dance documentary came out in 2020. According to former four-time NBA champion, John Salley, Jordan and Pippen’s friendship ended in 2004.

Salley is a former teammate of Jordan and Pippen on the 1995-96 Chicago Bulls. In just 17 games, he averaged 2.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game. Still, his championship experience helped the Bulls.

Salley recently appeared on The OGs Podcast, where he gave insight on the former Bulls’ duos friendship:

“It’s been over. It was over before the video. At 2004, I knew it was over,” Salley said.

This comes as a shock, as their was no signs of any tension in their relationship in 2004. Salley also commented on his relationship with Pippen:

“Scottie got new on me, too. I thought I was mad cool with Scottie. He changed on me, too. That’s cool, though.”

It’s sad to see arguably the greatest NBA duo lose their friendship. Their time as teammates is long over, and the two have moved on, and fans will have to accept it too.
