Boston Celtics forwards Jayson Tatum had a special visitor in France this summer amidst his struggles during the 2024 Olympic games. After winning the 2024 NBA title, it was all hands on deck for Team USA.
But Tatum didn’t look like himself during the limited time that he had on the court, and Bill Simmons recently shared that Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla took a trip to France to visit Tatum during this stretch.

“I think even when Tatum was struggling during the Olympics, Mazzulla flew out to France to kinda make sure everything was ok,” Simmons said.

While Tatum never had a mind-blowing breakout game during the Olympics, according to everyone involved, he was a vital part of the team.
Mazzulla is entering his third season as the head coach of the Celtics and his sixth season overall. All eyes are on Boston as they try to capture back-to-back titles.
