Boston Celtics superstar Jayson Tatum made his season debut last night after a grueling 10-month recovery from a torn right Achilles tendon suffered in last season’s playoffs. Playing against the Dallas Mavericks, Tatum started the game and, despite initial rust, came on strong toward the end of the game.
In 27 minutes of action, Tatum recorded 15 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists, all the while exciting the crowd in Boston. The Celtics went on to win 120-100 over the Dallas Mavericks, with Jaylen Brown leading the way with 24 points.

“I still got a long way to go,” Tatum said after the game. “But this was a really good step.”
This victory underscores Tatum’s impact, proving the Celtics are even more formidable with their star forward healthy.
