2025 NBA Playoffs

Jalen Brunson joins SGA, Jordan, and LeBron on playoff list

Jalen Brunson battles the Pacers in Game 5, where he joined an impressive playoff list.

Jalen Brunson achieved a feat that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander just did this past Wednesday. Brunson now joins SGA, Michael Jordan, and LeBron James on a historic playoff list.

To save the New York Knicks season, Brunson delivered 32 points, five rebounds, and five assists in New York’s 111-94 Game 5 victory. This stat line became Brunson’s 10th game of at least 30 points, five rebounds, and five assists in a single playoff run.

Brunson has now etched his name alongside Jordan, LeBron, and Gilgeous-Alexander as the only players to achieve such a feat. To bounce back and defeat the Indiana Pacers, Brunson understood that it was up to him to set the tone for his team.

“[I wanted to] set a tone, for sure,” Brunson said. “It wasn’t through putting the ball in the basket. That happened, but just trying to make sure we were all on the same page and ready to go. Our backs were against the wall.”

If Brunson wants to defeat the Pacers again, he might need to notch an 11th game with that stat line.

Game 6 in Indiana is Saturday at 8:00 PM EST.
