Jacksonville Jaguars rookie Travis Hunter will miss the remainder of the season after having surgery on his right knee, the team announced Tuesday.
Hunter’s right LCL was surgically repaired on Tuesday, putting him on a six-month road to recovery. The other ligaments in his knee were found to be intact.

His final game of the season was his best yet, scoring his first NFL touchdown during a 35-7 loss to the Los Angeles Rams in Week 7.
The No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft sustained the non-contact injury during a defensive drill in a late-October practice. He recorded 28 reception, 298 yards and a touchdown on the offensive end this season.
On defense, he secured 15 total tackles. Hunter is expected to be fully recovered by next season.
