A very scary moment happened on Thursday in game three between Oklahoma City and Memphis.
Warriors’ Jimmy Butler has status in ‘jeopardy’ for Game 3 versus Rockets
Ja Morant got the ball for the Grizzlies on a transition fast break and was looking to throw down an exciting dunk, until an undercut from Lu Dort of the Thunder took him to the ground. Morant fell on his face, arm, and side in obvious pain and remained on the court for a while. He eventually got up and made both free throws, but Morant totaled 15 points and five rebounds in 16 minutes of action. Oklahoma City earned a 114-108 win, taking a commanding 3-0 lead in the series.
Dort spoke to the media afterwards and is ‘hopeful’ that Morant is okay.
Dort on the Morant play: “tough one. Hope he’s OK. Running back making a hustle play for my team.

“That was a tough one,” Dort said about his play on the foul of Morant. “Obviously, I hope he is okay. I was running back to make a hustle play for my team. I was running quick and stopped on a dime, but I did not know he was behind me. I was slipping so I was still trying to make a play on the ball, but we just ran into each other and fell down. I really hope he is okay.”
Morant’s ability to bounce back and make free throws is a positive sign he should be back for Game 4.
Ja Morant takes a HEAVY fall and has left the court. Prayers up ????????
