The Atlanta Hawks were still without star guard Trae Young, due to a right MCL sprain. It didn’t matter, however, even with the Cleveland Cavaliers having Donovan Mitchell on the floor.

Mitchell has a superb game for Cleveland. He scored 42 points on 15-28 shooting. Despite this, the Cavs fell 130-123 to the Hawks.

The Hawks got the job done due to a balanced attack. Atlanta saw seven players score in double figures, led by Jalen Johnson’s 29 points and Nickeil Alexander-Walker’s 28.

The Hawks improve to 12-8 on the season, while eliminating the Cavs from the NBA Cup.
