The Golden State Warriors were without their star player, Jimmy Butler, due to a nasty fall he suffered in Game 2. Everyone knew this game would be a battle, just like the entire series had been.

The Rockets took control of the game early, establishing a lead of as much as 13 points midway through the second quarter. However, the Golden State Warriors showed their championship spirit by fighting back.

They went on a 9-0 run toward the end of the first half and followed it up with a 14-4 run at the beginning of the third quarter.

The Warriors continued their momentum into the fourth quarter and they were led by Stephen Curry. After a slow start to the game, scoring just two points in the first quarter, Curry came alive.

The Original Splash Brother dropped 13 points in the second quarter, 12 in the third, and nine more in the fourth. Curry finished with 36 points, seven rebounds, and nine assists as the Warriors won without Butler.

Golden State’s 104-93 victory gives them a 2-1 series lead and the confidence to move forward without Butler if need be.

Game 4 is this Monday at 10:00 PM EST.
