Giannis Antetokounmpo

Giannis Antetokounmpo trade rumors heat up less than two weeks before draft

The 2026 NBA Draft is less than two weeks away and just like last season, the trade buzz surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo is impossible to ignore.

It was heavily reported that several teams engaged in discussions with the Milwaukee Bucks at the trade deadline regarding a deal for the superstar.

The Miami Heat have long been at the top of the list as a frontrunner to land Antetokounmpo if a deal is made, but a new report from The Athletic’s Sam Amick and Eric Nehm reveals that other teams are not out of the question.

In fact, the prospective offers from other teams is reportedly what’s been holding off a deal with the Heat. According to Amick and Nehm, the Bucks seem to be listening to offers from several franchises.

The three teams mentioned in the report are the Boston Celtics, the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Orlando Magic.

Since Antetokounmpo reportedly wants to play on a contending Eastern Conference team, the Celtics now pose the biggest threat to jump in front of the Heat and land the 31-year-old.

With Jayson Tatum likely untouchable, Jaylen Brown appears to be the headlining player that the Bucks would receive in a potential deal.

If such a trade went through, it would make sense for Milwaukee to trade him pretty quickly for a few young players and draft capital.

While Antetokounmpo’s recent injury history is concerning and he’s not getting any younger, it wasn’t long ago that he was a top two or three player on the planet.

Time will tell if the Bucks are serious about moving him, or if they will keep him for another season of rumors.
