NBA fans react as Bucks send Giannis Antetokounmpo to Miami

The legendary 13-year run that Giannis Antetokounmpo had on the Milwaukee Bucks has come to an end.

After several years of rumors, speculation and trade buzz, the Bucks finally pulled the trigger on Monday night and dealt him to the Miami Heat.

In return, they received Tyler HerroKel’el WareJaime Jaquez Jr.Kasparas Jakucionis, three first-round picks (including No. 13 in tonight’s NBA draft), one pick swap and one second-round pick.

In the hours before the move was made, the Boston Celtics were named as the other frontrunner to get a deal done. According to multiple insiders, the Celtics refused to include young players like Hugo Gonzales in a trade offer.

As expected, fans went berserk on social media when ESPN’s Shams Charania broke the news of the deal Monday night.

Clearly, fans from all corners of the basketball world chimed in with all sorts of opinions on the trade and which teams won or lost it.

It’s hard to really make a call this early without seeing the final rosters heading into next season and fans seemed split about whether or not the Heat have become the top team in the Eastern Conference.

With the Antetokounmpo trade saga coming to an end, the landscape of the NBA looks much different than it did 24 hours ago.
