The 2026 NBA Draft Combine is in full swing and potential No. 1 pick AJ Dybantsa turned heads on Tuesday with an incredible display of athleticism.

As prospects tested their standing and running vertical leaps, Dybantsa led the way with an astonishing 42″ max jump.

His 42″ leap is the highest vertical jump recorded at this year’s combine so far. Dybantsa measured in at 6’8.5″ and 217 pounds with a 7’0.5″ wingspan, confirming his elite physical traits to go along with generational athleticism.

He had a standout freshman season for the BYU Cougars in which he led all Division I players in scoring, establishing himself as one of the top three players in this draft class.

Andrej Stojakovic and Kingston Flemings both had impressive jumps as well, each coming in at over 40″ on the max vertical jump test.

Kansas Jayhawks star Darryn Peterson had a solid outing for the test, recording a 37.5″ max vertical.

As of late, the discussion over who will go first overall has largely been between Peterson and Dybantsa.

On one hand, Peterson is a tall, athletic point guard with generational scoring abilities. On the other hand, Dybantsa is a hyper-athletic forward that also boasts tremendous shot-creation skills.

With the Washington Wizards selecting first, Dybantsa is likely to be the better fit on the court alongside Trae Young and Anthony Davis. He strengthened his argument with an impressive outing at the combine on Tuesday.
