The Duke Blue Devils have landed a first-of-its-kind deal with Amazon Prime Video in which they will play three marquee games on the streaming service, the school announced on Thursday.
“In addition to our outstanding partnership with ESPN, we are excited to work with Prime Video on this groundbreaking initiative,” Duke athletic director Nina King said. “As Prime Video’s first college sports partner, this collaboration not only expands the global reach of Duke Men’s Basketball, but also creates meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes in a way that reflects innovation and excellence.”

Next season, the Blue Devils will face the UConn Huskies in Las Vegas on Nov. 25, the reigning champion Michigan Wolverines at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 21, and the Gonzaga Bulldogs on Feb. 20 in Detroit.
Jon Scheyer‘s squad will now have the honor of playing in Amazon’s first venture into college sports.
The new deal reportedly includes lucrative NIL opportunities for Duke and is part of a larger partnership that will be announced in the future.
All four teams involved are projected to be top 10 programs next season, so these new battles will be must-see TV. But the deal will reportedly extend past this season and will last several years, giving Duke athletics millions in NIL opportunities.
Scheyer has notably been one of the most aggressive coaches in terms of scheduling, and his ambition came through once again with this deal as multiple organizers reportedly talked with Duke about non-conference games.
The new partnership may also be the catalyst for future streaming partnerships in college athletics.
