ESPN’s Shams Charania released a report this week that details the alleged friction taking place within the Milwaukee Bucks, citing several anonymous team sources.
On a recent appearance on FanDuel’s Run It Back, Bucks head coach Doc Rivers called out Charania and disputed the report.

“We have a great relationship. You know, Shams wrote an article that’s so inaccurate that I don’t have the time to go into… He talked about our locker room thing and I was laughing like, yeah we had a tough locker room day,” Rivers said. “We lost to the Chicago Bulls with a 20 point lead. I showed clips the next day of guys who was screwing up. That’s what happens in a locker room.”
He went on to jokingly say he misses Charania’s predecessor, Adrian Wojnarowski.
“The first thing I thought, ‘where’s Woj? I miss Woj so much,'” Rivers said.
Charania’s report claimed that there is tension between Rivers and his players following a locker room meeting shortly after losing to the Chicago Bulls last month.
The Bucks have had a tumultuous season that’s been made worse by the conflict between the team and Giannis Antetokounmpo. They are currently under league investigation as the team says he isn’t ready to return from a hyperextended knee while Antetokounmpo says he’s healthy and eager to play.
At 31-49 on the season, they Bucks have already been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention. With a whirlwind of offseason rumors likely on the way, Rivers appears keen on getting ahead of the noise.
