The Sacramento Kings stunned the Houston Rockets 125-124 on Sunday night. They snapped a five-game losing skid and delivered a much-needed boost to their struggling season.

The Kings trailed by as many as 14 points in the fourth quarter, with Houston building a commanding lead behind Alperen Sengun’s dominant 28 points and Kevin Durant’s 24 points, 10 rebounds, and eight assists.
The Rockets appeared poised to cruise to victory after an early-season blowout win over Sacramento. The Kings, however, refused to fold.
Keegan Murray ignited the comeback, pouring in 26 points, including a flurry in the fourth that fueled a 12-0 run. Russell Westbrook then buried a clutch corner three-pointer with 13.3 seconds left in regulation to tie the score at 112-112 and force overtime.
In the extra period, it was veteran Dennis Schroder who took over. He scored nine points in overtime. With Houston leading 124-122 after Jabari Smith Jr. hit two of three free throws, DeMar DeRozan drove and kicked to Schroder, who drained a three-pointer from the corner with 2.2 seconds remaining for the lead.
Durant missed a potential game-winner at the buzzer, sealing the Kings’ improbable victory. Schroder finished with 24 points, 10 assists, and seven rebounds off the bench, while Westbrook added 21 points and 13 rebounds.
