Former NBA player and coach Damon Jones now plans to plead guilty to his charges after he was arrested as part of a major sting operation in which the FBI arrested over 30 people for their alleged involvement in an illegal gambling scheme.
As part of the operation, former Portland Trail Blazers head coach Chauncey Billups and former Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier were also arrested and charged.

Jones is currently facing charges in two cases. The first is for providing sports bettors with private information about the health and status of LeBron James and Anthony Davis when Jones was a coach on the Los Angeles Lakers. These bettors then used this information about those players to place and win bets.
According to The Athletic, neither of the players were aware that Jones was doing this.
The second is for profiting from rigged underground poker games. Prosecutors accuse Jones of playing in games that were rigged using shuffling machines, hidden cameras, specialized eyewear and other methods. These games were reportedly tied to several prominent New York crime families.
Jones initially entered a plea of not guilty on both indictments, but a plea-change is expected in the next week.
