Game 2 of the Los Angeles Clippers and Denver Nuggets is in the books. The Nuggets came out strong in the first quarter, outscoring the Clippers 31-25.

Los Angeles would battle back, led by Kawhi Leonard. The “Klaw” was on fire in the first half.

Leonard scored 21 points on 9-10 shooting. This includes a buzzer-beating three at the end of the first half. The Clippers took a 55-52 lead into halftime.

The game remained close throughout the second half with Leonard continuing his hot shooting and Nikola Jokic being himself, making every big play.

Jokic finished with a triple-double, with a stat line of 24 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Still, this night belonged to Leonard.

With under three minutes left in a one-point game, Aaron Gordon missed a wide-open dunk. Leonard responded by drilling a tough turnaround fadeaway in the paint.

After the Nuggets tied the game at 100-100, Leonard found Norman Powell for a huge three. Ultimately, it would be Leonard who put the dagger in the Nuggets’ hopes for a win.

Leonard hit a huge pull-up jumper with 54.5 remaining in the game. This gave the Clippers a 105-102 lead, which would stay the final score of the game.

Leonard scored 39 points on 15-19 shooting, including 4-7 from three. The Clippers tie the series at 1-1 as the series shifts to Los Angeles in Game 3, this Thursday at 10:00 PM EST.
