The Boston Celtics caught fire in the second half of Tuesday’s game to take down the Charlotte Hornets 113-102 at home.

The Hornets got off to exactly the start they were looking for as LaMelo Ball went to work early on offense. He was knocking down ridiculous 30-footers as he put up 13 points in the first quarter.
Strong play on both ends of the floor helped the Hornets end the first quarter with an 11-point lead.
While Charlotte’s offense stayed hot in the second quarter, that’s when the Celtics also caught fire. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum led a two-edged offense that put up 35 points in both the third and fourth quarters.
Boston’s defense locked in and the Celtics pulled together a 21-7 scoring run.
By the fourth quarter, Boston had jumped out to a small lead. As the Hornets cooled off on offense in the second half, the Celtics continued their impressive play through the fourth quarter to secure the victory.
