The Boston Celtics defeated the L.A. Clippers Monday night 126-94. On a night where seemingly every game ended in a blowout, the matchup between the Celtics and Clippers was no different, with Boston dominating on both sides of the floor.

After ending the first quarter up by seven, the Celtics exploded for a 51-point second quarter, and held the Clippers to just 43% shooting from the field. The Celtics tied a single-quarter NBA record with 12 threes in their impressive second quarter.

Jayson Tatum and Peyton Pritchard led the way with 20 points each as six Celtics finished in double-digits.

For L.A., Ivica Zubac was their biggest contributor with 23 points and ten rebounds. The Clippers turned in a lackluster shooting performance and made just seven of their 26 three-point attempts.

Both squads were on a five-game winning streak coming into Monday’s game.

The Clippers will travel to Washington D.C. on Wednesday to face the Wizards while the Celtics are off until Friday, when they will fly to Chicago to face the Bulls.
