The New York Knicks have some of the most passionate and dedicated fans in the NBA.

Beloved rapper Fat Joe is one of these superfans, but he appeared on  ESPN’s NBA Today on Monday as said the Cleveland Cavaliers stopped him from sitting courtside in Cleveland.

“We had bought some courtside tickets to the game and once they found out it was superfan Fat Joe, they was like, I can’t sit courtside. New York Knick fans can’t sit courtside,” he said. “They took the tickets away courtside after we purchased it, so shame on you all.”

The New York Post’s Christian Arnold also reported that the Cavs contacted at least 10 other Knicks fans who had purchased courtside tickets and relocated them to higher seats.

After Fat Joe’s television appearance, the Cavaliers gave the New York Post a statement on their courtside ticket policy.

“Playoff courtside seating is governed by a specific agreement that prohibits the resale or transfer of tickets without approval,” a team spokesperson said “All courtside ticket holders are required to comply with the terms of the single-game playoff agreement.”

Knicks fans have made it a tradition to take over opposing team’s arenas in the playoffs, a trend that has been amplified by New York’s terrific play in the postseason so far.
