New York Giants rookie Cam Skattebo’s leg injury has officially been revealed as a fibula fracture, dislocated ankle and a torn deltoid ligament, per NFL insider Ian Rapoport.
Skattebo left Sunday’s matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles after suffering the horrific injury. He attempted to catch a high pass and came down with his ankle caught under another player.

Rapoport also reports that the injury typically has roughly a six-month recovery. While this means his season is likely over, he should be available for mini-camp ahead of next season.
The injury may have been gruesome, but the actual damage could have been worse as he narrowly avoided a tibial fracture. The Giants are currently 2-6 and will have to play the rest of their season without their rookie runningback.
