The Tampa Bay Buccaneers held off a late push from the Carolina Panthers to win 16-14 and keep the Buccaneers playoff hopes alive.
It was a sloppy offensive game from both teams, with rainy and wet field conditions making it difficult for both teams to gain any offensive momentum.
The Buccaneers got out to an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter, and despite a late fourth quarter push from Bryce Young, it wasn’t enough and the Buccaneers would hold onto the win.
It has been a struggle as of late for the Buccaneers. After starting the season off 6-2, the team would finish off the season 2-7 and struggle to find any consistency and the team would struggle with injuries.
The Buccaneers and Panthers now must rely on their division rival Atlanta Falcons for their playoff fate. If the Falcons lose, the Buccaneers will clinch the NFC South. If the Falcons win, the Panthers will clinch the NFC South.
