The New Orleans Pelicans have not had the start of the season they were hoping for. After recording just two wins in their first 12 games, New Orleans have decided a change was needed, firing head coach Willie Green.

Green was in his fifth season as head coach of the Pelicans. He recorded a record of 150-190 during his time in New Orleans. Associate head coach James Borrego has been named interim head coach.
