The NBA returned to action on Thursday, and fans were treated to a thrilling matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Los Angeles Clippers. Three-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, had another stellar game for Denver, recording 22 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists.

On this night, it wouldn’t be enough. Bennedict Mathurin stepped up huge for the Clippers, dropping 38 points on 12-22 shooting. He also added five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

The Clippers held on to win 115-114, and the victory showcased the greatness of the trade for Mathurin. LA has a potential star to build around for the future.
