The Chicago Bears pulled off an unreal 18-point comeback over the Green Bay Packers on Saturday, securing their spot in the NFC divisional round.

The Bears’ offense started off sluggish, taking seven minutes to get downfield before having to settle for a field goal. In response, the Packers needed just five minutes to set up wide receiver Christian Watson for a seven-yard touchdown catch.

While Chicago possessed the ball to start the second quarter, Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine picked off Bears quarterback Caleb Wilson near the 40-yard line.

This turnover gave the Packers good field position and ultimately set them up for another touchdown, going up 14-3.

Green Bay’s defense continued to hold strong, forcing a 4th-down turnover before wide receiver Romeo Doubs pulled in a one-yard touchdown catch.

As the first half ended, Green Bay held a 21-3 advantage.

After getting a much-needed stop to open the third quarter, the Bears got back on the board with another field goal. Chicago secured another defensive stop before reaching the endzone on the offensive end.

That’s when Packers linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper picked off Williams at the goal line, effectively ending the third quarter.

The Bears’ offense came alive in the fourth quarter, needing just seven plays to score off of a five-yard dash from runningback D’Andre Swift.

With ten minutes left to play, Green Bay’s lead had shrunk to five.

The Packers put together yet another strong drive before rookie WR Matthew Golden evaded several defenders on a 23-yard touchdown reception.

The spectacular play swung momentum back in favor of the Packers, albeit momentarily.

A 4th-and-8 conversion pass from Williams with just over five minutes to play kept the Bears alive. WR Olamide Zaccheaus punched in an eight-yard touchdown catch before tight end Colston Loveland completed the two-point conversion.

An incredible one-handed catch from Doubs the moved the Packers up the field and allowed them to extend their drive, but Brandon McManus missed his second field goal of the night.

Down by three with less than three minutes to play, the Bears fought back hard. In just six plays, the Bears took the lead with a spectacular 25-yard touchdown catch by WR D.J. Moore.

The Packers nearly pulled off a game-winning drive at the very end of regulation, but couldn’t find the endzone as time expired and the Bears escaped with a 31-27 victory.

It’s officially the largest postseason comeback in Bears franchise history.
