The San Antonio Spurs surged at the start of their game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, racing to a 16-0 start.

Victor Wembanyama looked sharp for the Spurs, pouring in 29 points, grabbing seven boards, and swiping three steals. His play helped push San Antonio’s lead to 19 by the third.

Starting slow, Minnesota eventually settled into a groove under assistant coach Micah Nori, as head coach Chris Finch was out sick. Donte DiVincenzo lit the spark: 19 points, nine rebounds, seven assists. Naz Reid also played big, adding 17 and 11 rebounds as momentum shifted once they locked in.

Anthony Edwards delivered in crunch time, scoring nine of his team-high 23 points in the final frame. He gave Minnesota their first lead at 100-98 with a turnaround jumper at 2:19 remaining.

After Harrison Barnes briefly put San Antonio back ahead with a three-pointer, Edwards sealed the 104-103 win by banking in a clutch runner with 16.8 seconds left.

This victory marked Minnesota’s fifth straight win over San Antonio. The Timberwolves improved to 26-14, while the Spurs fell to 27-12.
