Anthony Davis puts up modest numbers in return to Mavs’ lineup
He suffered an eye injury late in the game; however, it did not stop him from holding off Trae Young. Davis turned in an impressive performance with 34 points and 15 rebounds on 14-of-23 shooting from the field. He drained two 3-pointers (four attempts) and had two assists, a steal, and five blocks. The 6-foot-10 specimen also put on a Superman cape with the game-winning shot as seconds remained in the contest — delivering the Mavs to a 120-118 victory. He recorded his best outing with Dallas since his showing of 26 points, 16 rebounds, seven assists, and three blocks in a 116-105 win over Houston on Feb. 8.
