Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid told reporters on Monday that he plans to remain with the team, albeit with a little bit of humor.
“I mean, I think I’m coming back, right?” Reid said. “If they’ll have me back, I’ll come back. You never know in this business. That’s a tough one. But I plan on it, yeah.”

The 67-year-old coach has led the Chiefs to three Super Bowl victories, the third most Super Bowl wins by a coach in league history. But this season ends in disappointment as the Chiefs have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Reid is wrapping up his 27th-straight season as an NFL head coach and his 13th season with the Chiefs.
With a record of 6-10 heading into the season finale, Kansas City will look to reevaluate in the offseason. Star quarterback Patrick Mahomes suffered a torn ACL in Week 15, making next season’s outlook a little trickier.
After concerns about potential retirement following Reid’s first losing season in Kansas City, the Chiefs can now focus on a strong draft and offseason with their long-time head coach on board.
