Youngstown State Penguins defeated Murray State Racers 62–35 on Saturday in Murray, Ky.
Quarterback Beau Brungard passed for 423 yards and four touchdowns. Wide receiver Lynn Wyche-El caught 10 passes for 145 yards. Youngstown State scored a touchdown on every one of its nine offensive possessions.

After Murray State tied the game at 7–7, the Penguins forced two turnovers on downs and a punt while scoring 28 consecutive points. They led 35–7 at halftime. Brungard threw 28-yard touchdown passes to wide receiver Fresh Walters and Wyche-El before the break.
Walters recorded seven receptions for 90 yards and two scores. Running backs Jaden Gilbert and Antuan Gardner each rushed for two touchdowns. Murray State quarterback Collin Shannon passed for 351 yards and three touchdowns. Tyrell Campbell ran for 142 yards and one score. Jaxon Potter had six catches for 115 yards.
Youngstown State gained 589 total yards and held the ball for 30 minutes and 16 seconds. Murray State gained 536 yards and possessed it for 29 minutes and 44 seconds. The Penguins improved to 8–2 overall and 6–1 in the Missouri Valley Football Conference.
Youngstown State has won all three conference matchups against Murray State, outscoring them 147–69. The Penguins host Illinois State next Saturday. Murray State hosts Northern Iowa on November 21.
