PSG head coach Luis Enrique said after the match that Hakimi operates like a striker when the team has possession — and that he remains the world’s top right back. Enrique emphasized that consistent high-level readiness matters more to him than individual scoring feats.
Before Friday’s match, Hakimi had never registered more than two goal involvements in a single Ligue 1 game across 135 appearances since joining PSG from Internazionale in 2021. His five contributions tie him with Ferran Torres for most direct goal involvements among PSG players in Ligue 1 this season.
Hakimi is 27 years old and plays as a defender for Paris Saint-Germain.
