San Jose Sharks center Macklin Celebrini scored his 40th goal of the season in the Sharks’ 4-3 comeback win over the Anaheim Ducks. Celebrini extended his goal streak to three games and has back-to-back two-goal games.

Celebrini’s goal came with 1:39 left in regulation to tie the game 3-3. Then, with 34 seconds left, Alexander Wennberg scored the game-winner, which Celebrini assisted.

The Sharks have a chance at making a late playoff push. They sit one point behind the Los Angeles Kings and have a game in hand. The Sharks haven’t made the playoffs since 2018-19.

Celebrini has made significant progress in his second year. He has 40 goals and 65 assists this season, which are both top 10 in the league. He also has 42 more points this season compared to last season.
