The Indiana Hoosiers put on a show in the first half of Friday’s Peach Bowl against the Oregon Ducks, forcing three turnovers and going into the break with a 35-7 advantage.

The first turnover came in the first 11 seconds of the game, as Hoosiers DB D’Angelo Ponds snagged a pass from Ducks QB Dante Moore before taking it 20 yards to the end zone.

After a conceding an Oregon touchdown on the following drive, Indiana’s defense came up big in the second half, forcing a fumble from Moore less than five yards from the goal line.

The recovery by DL Mario Landino led to another Hoosiers touchdown. The final Oregon turnover of the half was once again set in motion by putting pressure on Moore, this time coming off of a stripped pass by DL Daniel Ndukwe.

After Landino picked up his second fumble recovery of the night, Indiana extended their lead to 35-7 just before halftime.

Its the Ducks’ largest deficit since their 41-21 loss to Ohio State in last year’s Rose Bowl.
