Paul George on Tyrese Haliburton: “He’s the face of the NBA”

Tyrese Haliburton is taking the NBA by storm this postseason as he’s arguably become the most talked-about player. A current player has even called him the “face of the NBA.”

Haliburton has led the Indiana Pacers to a place no one believed they could reach in this year’s postseason. He’s dazzled fans with incredible clutch plays and historic performances.

Despite Haliburton’s impressive postseason run, the NBA is still filled with other great young players. This includes the MVP, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Anthony Edwards.

According to a former Indiana Pacer, Haliburton has emerged as the face of the league.

“In my eyes, I think he is a superstar,” Paul George said. “He’s the face of the NBA. He is the number one option. He’s a set-up point first, but he can be your late-game scorer. He’s been a clutch performer late in games. He can be an isolation player, that’s just not his calling. I want to see him continue to do this, which I know he will.”

George is right about Haliburton being a superstar. His play has warranted such a title. To call him the face of the NBA, however, is a bit premature.

Haliburton will have to continue his incredible play over a long stretch of time before that title is rightfully his. He can take a huge step towards it by winning an NBA title this year.
