The Golden State Warriors were soundly defeated by the Houston Rockets 106-96 in an intense battle on Sunday. In the game, Stephen Curry struggled mightily while also getting into a heated exchange with Rockets head coach Ime Udoka.

Curry was off his game for the first time in long time vs. the Rockets. He scored just three points on 1-10 shooting, including going 1-8 from three. At the end of the second quarter, Curry was seen having a heated exchange with Udoka.

After the game, Curry was asked about his tense exchange with Udoka.

“He made a reservation at International Smoke, and then he canceled it,” Curry said. “And so I was kind of upset with him. We went back and forth on that.”

This was clearly a joke, as International Smoke is a restaurant that is co-owned by Curry’s wife, Ayesha. Most likely the two will get together at Ayesha’s restaurant at some point.

This won’t happen until after the season as both coach and player are ultimate competitors. Right now, friendship isn’t on their minds. Winning an NBA title is.
