The Milwaukee Bucks sit at No. 5 in the Eastern Conference playoff picture, but its chances at a second NBA championship may have taken a huge blow.
Damian Lillard, better known as “Dame Time,” is out indefinitely with an injury.

According to a report from ESPN’s Shams Charania, Lillard sustained a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in his right calf.

It is the same injury that sidelined Spurs’ superstar Victor Wembanyama for the rest of the season. Per Charania, Lillard is on blood-thinning medication — which has stabilized the blood clot, and will continue with regular testing. The nine-time All-Star averaged 24.9 points per game and leads the team in assists (7.1) and steals (1.2) per game. He played much of his career in Portland after getting selected No. 6 overall in the 2012 NBA Draft, but the 34-year-old wants his first ring as a champion.
Milwaukee is 40-31 on the year and has a matchup on Wednesday versus Denver.
Hopefully, Lillard can be back to help the Bucks in the postseason.
