The Indianapolis Colts are open to trading running back Jonathan Taylor and are in active talks with multiple teams, ESPN’s Adam Schefter and NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Saturday.
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. ET. Teams thought to have shown at least some interest in Taylor include the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks, according to the report. Indianapolis has received at least one offer that includes a second-round pick plus additional compensation.

Taylor, 27, has 587 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 140 carries in seven games, plus 17 catches for 178 yards. He is under contract for $15 million in 2027 and $9.46 million in 2028. Taylor said Thursday that he has not asked for a trade but acknowledged one is possible. “Whether you like it or not, the day may come,” he said.
The Colts (2-5), who have lost three straight games, have already moved two veterans. On Tuesday, they traded guard Quenton Nelson to Seattle for a 2027 third-round pick and a 2028 fifth-round pick, and sent defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to San Francisco for a 2027 fourth-round pick. Wide receiver Josh Downs has requested a trade, and the Colts have told teams he is worth third-round value, Schefter and Rapoport reported.
The biggest deal so far, according to ESPN’s trade tracker, came Thursday, when the Tennessee Titans sent defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons and a 2028 fifth-round pick to the Chicago Bears for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028 and a 2027 fourth-round pick.
ESPN’s Matt Bowen and Jeremy Fowler ranked Taylor first among 25 possible trade candidates in a deadline preview this week, ordering players by the value they would bring a new team rather than their chances of moving.
A source told Schefter there is “no way” the New York Jets trade wide receiver Garrett Wilson before the deadline. Separately, Washington Commanders defensive tackle Daron Payne, sixth on the ESPN list, suffered a season-ending Jones fracture in practice Friday, ESPN’s John Keim reported.
Taylor and the Colts play at Jacksonville on Sunday.
