Thunder dominate Game 2 of the NBA Finals, Series tied 1-1

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander attacks the basket in Game 2 of the NBA Finals

Game 2 of the NBA Finals started off as a close game. Then, the Oklahoma City Thunder went on a 35-9 run at the end of the first quarter and into the second to blow the game wide open.

The Thunder took a 59-41 lead into halftime. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the MVP, led OKC with 15 first-half points.

The only question that remained was whether the Indiana Pacers could make another improbable comeback.

NBA Finals Game 2: Second half

The Thunder would not allow a comeback in Game 2. OKC outpaced Indiana in the third, outscoring them 34-33 in the third quarter.

The Pacers star, Tyrese Haliburton, struggled in Game 2. He couldn’t find his rhythm, and often looked lost in the game.

Haliburton scored 17 points on 7-13 shooting, but most of his points came in the fourth when the game was already over.

In the fourth, the Thunder kept up their domaint play, led by Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 34 points on 11-21 shooting. OKC tied the series at 1-1 with their 123-107 victory in Game 2.

The Pacers head home for the next two games, but if they continue playing as they did in the first two, they might not make it past Game 5.
