The Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 128-123 on Wednesday behind a record-setting triple-double from LeBron James.

The four-time MVP put up 35 points, 14 assists and 12 rebounds and broke his own 2019 record as the oldest player in NBA history with three consecutive triple-doubles.

James’ dominant play led the Lakers to victory over the Grizzles squad that was without Ja Morant. In their star’s absence, Jaren Jackson Jr. finished with 29 points and seven total Memphis players reached double-digits.

The win extends L.A.’s winning streak to three and snaps the Grizzlies’ three-game winning streak. Now at 7-4, the Lakers are now fifth place in the Western Conference with Memphis right behind them in sixth. While Thursday night’s matchup was not a cup game, both teams will need to maintain their health as injury woes are plaguing numerous stars around the league.
