The New York Yankees snapped a five-game losing streak with a hard-fought 11-10 win over the Los Angeles Angels on Monday.

The Yankees retired the Angels’ first three batters quickly before Aaron Judge hit a 456′ two-run homer to put New York in front in the first inning.

The Angels once again came up empty in the second, and Jose Caballero extended the lead with a two-run homer of his own. The third inning was quiet, but the Angels finally responded in the fourth with two one-run singles and a one-run double.

An RBI walk in the top of the fourth tied the game 4-4.

The Yankees’ impressive hitting continued in the bottom of the fifth as Trent Grisham hit a huge three-run homer to jump out to a 7-4 advantage.

That lead was short-lived as Mike Trout responded with his own three-run homer to tie the game once again. The back-and-forth battle continued when Judge hit a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth.

The Yankees were ahead 8-7 entering the seventh, but the Angels recorded an RBI on a fly ball to make it even. In the top of the eighth, Trout came through again with a 445′ two-run home run to pull ahead 10-8.

Multiple Yankees truck out swinging in the bottom of the eighth, coming up scoreless in the inning. The Angels then had three batters get out to fly balls in the top of the ninth.

The Yankees had one last chance in the bottom of the ninth. That’s when Grisham hit yet another home-run, sending an extra batter in to tie the game 10-10.

New York was able to put batters on second and third base before Caballero stole home plate after a wild pitch to secure the 11-0 victory.
