The Pittsburgh Penguins got off to a hot start in the third period, scoring two goals in just 20. Rickard Rakell scored his 10th goal of the year for the Penguins to make it 4-1, followed by Noel Acciari scoring his sixth to make it 5-1.

The Penguins offense has continued to go on a hot streak, winning its last five games with four of those wins being by 3-plus goals.

As for the Rangers, their struggles continue on defense. They have only won two of their last 10 games and are struggling to keep up against the Penguins offense.

The Rangers have now also allowed at least 3-plus goals in their last 12 games. Meanwhile, the Penguins have now scored at least 3-plus goals in their last eight games.
