In 1985, Nike took over the shoe game. This was largely due to its new Air Jordan shoe. Everyone wanted a pair, and the perfect time to get one was during Christmas.

Nike knew this and decided to make a commercial for the Air Jordan 1. This commercial featured Michael Jordan playing Santa Claus in a one-on-one game while wearing the Air Jordan 1s.
