Seattle Mariners third baseman Eugenio Suárez just became the seventh player in MLB postseason history to hit a go-ahead grand slam in the 8th inning or later. This particular grand slam broke a 2-2 tie and gave the Mariners a 6-2 lead, one that they would hold on to and win the match.
Not only was the play historic and extremely clutch, it wasn’t even Suárez’s first highlight of the game as he hit a solo home run earlier in the matchup. With a 3-2 lead in the series, Suárez and the Mariners are just one win away from the World Series.
